Parents’ and children’s views

Published on 4 September 2009 in Families, News and The press. 1 Comment Tags: adults, blogs, Dyslexia, Families, identification, interventions, News, parents, press, reading problems.

The US Public Broadcasting System has two articles that will be of interest to some readers of LD Blog. The titles of them tell enough about the contents, each of which has four subparts, that I can simply list them here:

  • Raising a Child with a Learning Disability: A Mother’s Story
    • A Mother’s Suspicions
    • The Diagnosis
    • Looking Back: Lessons Learned
    • An Additional Note to Parents
  • Growing Up with a Learning Disability: A Child’s Story
    • A Struggle for Success
    • Succeeding Against the Odds
    • Looking Back: Lessons Learned
    • What Parents Can Do

Flash of the electrons to to Leila over on Special Ed and Me, whose post entitled “Inside the Mind of Someone with a Learning Disability” led me to the articles.
