The article wasn't too bad. Having the link to the self test where you can test for autism as something that might be helped with Irlen lenses is a negative.

It wouldn't be fair to say that Irlen lenses have not had any success, there have certainly been many happy customers who find reading more enjoyable along with those who paid and received no or little benefit.

As a competitor who produces a better product I would like to make a few comments about why people have negative ideas about the Irlen method.

There have been reports in newspapers from Irlen ex-employees who screened clients that they had a 50% quota to fill to send clients on to the full evaluation.

The standard of success for Irlen lenses is low. As soon as someone says this color is better than that color success can be claimed.

The net she casts for clients is too wide. She claims the Irlen lenses can help even good readers and those with autism and ADHD.

I call her business philosophy " take the money and run" because there is no guarantee associated with her method except that you will pay even if no you receive no benefit.

Her widely touted research studies are reported as if everyone benefits from the lenses where the data at best shows benefits for some.

Does having copyrighted testimonials suggest anything to anybody except me? As I said , the Irlen method has been successful for some but selecting and showcasing only those success stories can be misleading.

Having developed better visual dyslexia glasses I took a different marketing approach. I market my glasses to people who can describe visual problems that make reading difficult. If you see text vibrating so bad you can't see the words to read them that's a visual problem.

I eliminated all the problem wavelengths of light in a single filter so that a personal evaluation isn't needed. As many visually dyslexic individuals have problems with multiple wavelengths of light it seemed like a reasonable approach.

Reducing costs by eliminating the evaluation, increasing the success rate and telling those dyslexics that see the page in a clear and stable manner they will not likely benefit from glasses designed to remove visual problems allows me to offer a money back guarantee.

I won't name my product here or give the web address to not seem spammy . I just wanted people that there are visual dyslexia glasses other than Irlen's on the web.

For the dyslexics without visual problems who will not be helped by my glasses, I provide a links page to all kinds of FREE text to speech programs, FREE audio books and other FREE goodies.
