ADD is not an LD
In an otherwise very interesting story, Jessica Fender of the Baton Rouge (LA, US) Advocate, mixes Learning Disabilities with attention deficit disorder.
Given the substantial overlap between LD and ADD, this is perhaps the most understandable mistaken use of the term. However, it’s still another illustration of the need for clarification of these terms in the general public. I ’spose I ought to create a Web page that shows the differences very clearly and publicize it to the members of the various media who might need such information.
